Love the striking graphic composition of this one. The colors are unusual and add interest to the image. The textures of the pavements remind the viewer that this is a street scene and a strong tactile quality.

Love this abstract! I too enjoy taking this type of photo with my iPhone ... somehow so much more interesting than with my 'real' camera.

This is quite intersting. I wonder did you use the computer to get it that color or did you tweak your camera or made that light yourself>?

Frank Winters replied:

Hi John -- thanks. This was taken on my iPhone 4 using Hipstamatic. It won first place at the Westford Regional Art Event here in Massachusetts recently in the Professional Photography category. The ap has built in filters and I did some PS editing as well but most of the color is provided by Hipstamatic.

Echo Madeline's sentiment, Frank. This is wonderful, all the way to the green color reflected in the shadow. Great abstract.
