Artist's Description
From a trail in Ryder Conservation Lands, Sandwich Ma. Late Winter 2013. Here's a description of this excellent hiking place:
"The Ryder Conservation area has a small yet interesting trail system. Leaving from the Trail head parking on Cotuit Road, Sandwich, you can follow the main trail system down a hill. You will reach Mashpee/Wakebe pond shore within just 200 yards. From there turn left along a rooted and moss covered main trail. This will branch into a couple minor trails. All eventually leading to the Sandwich public beach area or the beach access road. In either case, you may re enter the trail system on the opposite side of the road and enter the Trustees of reservations Land (also public use). The Trustees property is Lowell Holly Trails. These are more traveled and increasingly maintained. This added trail system can add as much as 2 to 3 miles to your hike."

When light is unusually focused, or especially diffused, or particularly brilliant I pounce. It is a process of triangulation; object(s), geometry, light; when these three factors converge. I seize the fleeting opportunity. My work is inspired by poetry and Transcendental writing such as the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote above and this one from Henry Peter Emerson, a relative of RWE,...

Frank Winters replied:
Thanks Bob -- I needed to hear that. You are the first one to see this on FAA -- I thought it might have impact -- so good of you to affirm that.
